This is the bridge we took the photo of the falls from. Although the Hermitage looks, at first sight, like it might have developed naturally, it is actually a planned landscape. The ornamental woodland garden dates from the 1750s with the 3rd Duke of Atholl, in 1764, setting out to provide public pleasure grounds all along the floor of the valley.
